WWTBAM Bored

Normally the bus ride in to work is quiet - almost everyone is still trying to catch a few winks or are in their own little world with earbuds or social media. Not this morning, however. About once every other week someone will get on the bus who either doesn't have exact change (our buses don't have card readers) or has no money and will try to get a rider to "help him out" (invariably it's a man). Today was the day. But rather than finding a benefactor, two women toward the back of the bus started shouting at him that he should get off the bus because it was already running late and they were late for work. One of them asked (told) the bus driver to kick the man off so they could get going. The man did get off and the bus resumed its journey while the two women made a few more comments.

Wow. What jerks. I hope they get whatever karma gives them. I've been in the "oh where is my T-pass" position & had the driver let me ride for free.

I've also been in the recent position of being derided for not moving rapidly enough, in this case on a bus set off for New York. The woman-in-question's "helpful" suggestion was that I wait until everybody else got on before boarding. Yeah, that will assure my stuff room in the overhead rack. Same party also made remarks at the end of the trip when I got off.
