Inventor of the Egg McMuffin. 89 years old. ( Herb, not the McMuffin.)

Some of the Egg McMuffins I've eaten have tasted like they are 89 years old.

Either Herb never ate much of his own product or he was guzzling down industrial strength Lipitor over the years to make it to 89.

While we're at it, have we noted the passing of Al Copeland, the creator of Popeyes (no apostrophe) Fried Chicken this past week?

I hadn't heard that. He always created quite a stir each Christmas by decking out his Louisiana mansion with an over-the-top Vegas-style light display. The neighbors didn't like it and they took him to court. Popeyes made a very tasty dirty rice. No spinach dishes, though.
