I didnt' know that the host ever made it to auditions.

I knew this before I read the choices, but how? I thought it was a movie. So I looked it up. Sure enough, the movie was called Ben, and Jackson sang the theme song.

I knew this from a Harlan Ellison introduction (or perhaps it was the opening vignette in one of his stories), though I think Ellison put the remains on Mt. Kilimanjaro. The theme of what I remember was a paean to the world's mysteries. --Bob
