Salivary gland stone
this is so weird.
Blocked salivary gland, so when I eat or drink, the back of of saliva causes a swelling and pain. Goes away shortly after. Treatment tells me to suck on sour candy to increase the flow of saliva to try to dislodge the stone.
Hurts.!

Isn't this something they could zap with ultrasound waves, like a kidney stone? Or operate the "old fashioned way" to remove? Sounds awful.

I get the same thing!
Lemon drops work. It takes a while, though.
Because mine is occurring more frequently now, we might to look into something else. Although the doctor hasn't said exactly what yet!

I get these a lot also, but they are only annoying when my tongue passes over them because it is "something there" that is not supposed to be. They so far have all gone away and I never really notice them not being there anymore so it must be within a day or so.
