What ES did for me

Some of you may remember a long, long time ago when Evil Squirrel used to take apples and little toys from the neighborhood kids down the street and throw them at my big sister Annie. She didn't like the apples, but she did like some of the toys. Her favorite was a little red car. I liked it too, but she wouldn't let me play with it very often or for very long.

After Annie went to RainbowBridgeLand, the little car disappeared. I figured she had taken it with her, just in case there weren't any good toys up there. Today, however, the little red car showed up in the back yard again.

It turns out that ES had taken it back after Annie left. He told me he had been afraid I was too young for a car of my own and that I wouldn't take care of it. He said he built a tiny garage onto his nest and parked it up there until, in his opinion, I was "ready." Today, he brought it back. He even had washed it -- or, at least, left it out in the rain, because it is a lot cleaner than it used to be.

I am so happyhappyhappy to have the little car. Not only do I have a keepsake of Annie's, but I have the trust and approval of my frien ES. Now I have a red Corvette and my mom only has her little-old-lady Camaro. I will be mature enough to not rub it in, because that's the kind of girl I am.

I was kind hoping you wanted to go out for a ride! Maybe we can do a road trip to Colorado again! I never did return Fanny's Pitbull CD.....

ES really does have a heart! I'm so glad the little red car is back home.

I see ES stopped off in Kansas City yesterday on his way back from Denver.
