It's obituaries like this one that make me feel old. Hudson was the star of the Atlanta Hawks when they first moved to Atlanta in 1968, and as a freshman at Georgia Tech, I went to see them play several times (they played their games at the Tech coliseum because the Omni hadn't been built yet). He was very popular with the fans and is one of only three Hawks to have his jersey number retired. He suffered a stroke a couple of weeks ago and never recovered.
Age 69.
