1. DENIAL / ANGER / BARGAINING / DEPRESSION
Sequence: Order of the first four stages of grief by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. Acceptance is fifth in the sequence.
2. HICKEL / KNOWLES / MURKOWSKI / PALIN
Sequence: Governors of Alaska in chronological order.
3. 4 C = Q / 4 Q = G / 2 G = P / 4 P = B
Sequence: Volume measurements, increasing in size. 4 cups = quart, 4 quarts = gallon, 2 gallons = peck, 4 pecks = bushel.
4. I WANT YOU BACK / ABC / THE LOVE YOU SAVE / I'LL BE THERE
Sequence: The Jackson 5's #1 hits in chronological order.
5. BROWN = 2 / LIGHT BLUE = 3 / PURPLE = 3 / ORANGE = 3
Everybody was stumped by this one.
Sequence: Colors and numbers of properties on a Monopoly board, going clockwise from Go.
6. HOOVER / LANDON / WILKIE / DEWEY
Sequence: Successive Republicans who lost to Franklin D. Roosevelt in presidential elections.
7. FLUORITE / CALCITE / GYPSUM / TALC
Sequence: Mohs scale materials, decreasing in hardness.
8. 7: CHRISTIAN PONDER / 14: JOE WEBB / 21: JOSH ROBINSON / 28: ADRIAN PETERSON
Sequence: Minnesota Vikings jersey numbers in increasing multiples of 7. Joe Webb should actually have an asterisk by his name because he was a free agent at the end of last season and just recently signed with the Carolina Panthers. But he was a Viking at the time that I wrote this question.
9. JOHN HANCOCK CENTER / AON CENTER / TRUMP TOWER / WILLIS TOWER
Sequence: The current four tallest buildings in Chicago. I knew that somebody would fall into the "Sears Tower" trap. That's not an acceptable answer because Sears Tower hasn't existed since 2009, the same year that Trump Tower was completed. Between January-July 2009, however, Trump Tower and Sears Tower existed together. So if you had said something pedantically specific like "tallest buildings in Chicago on April 8, 2009", then I could have allowed Sears Tower. But current buildings? No. Sorry, but I did say I would be very strict.
10. 13 / 21 / 34 / 55
Sequence: The 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th numbers in the classic Fibonacci sequence. 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 are the first six numbers, of course.
Frank had the high score on this set of questions and now has a 2-point lead.
4/7 + 4/8 Scores (12 participants)
franktangredi - 4 + 13 = 17
Bob Juch - 9 + 6 = 15
smilergrogan - 4 + 11 = 15
plasticene - 4 + 9 = 13
ShamelessWeasel - 2 + 11 = 13
Bob78164 - 3 + 7 = 10
MarleysGh0st - 4 + 6 = 10
kroxquo - 2 + 7 = 9
jarnon - 1 + 3 = 4
Vandal - 4 + 0 = 4
silverscreenselect - 0 + 0 = 0
themanintheseersuckersuit - 0 + 0 = 0

Coincidentally, I noticed that the opposing pitchers in last night's Indians vs. Padres game were Corey Kluber and Tyson Ross.

Have they changed the colors of Monopoly properties? Mediterranean and Baltic are purple, St. Charles, States, and Virginia are maroon

You, sir, are clearly not a Chicagoan. There is no Willis Tower and never will be a Willis Tower. Those who said Sears Tower deserve extra credit.
