top o' the mornin'® 3/31/2014

A glorious day - March goes out like a lamb. We took the grandkids to the park yesterday afternoon for some sliding and swinging. Then after we got back to the house we played "Chopped" - apparently Hailey and Caden are really into the show and at the park they were pretending to prepare recipes from made-up ingredients. So elwing went into the kitchen and put together some "baskets" containing animal crackers (the "protein"), marshmallows, some pieces of granola bar and some icing and told them they had 20 minutes to prepare a dessert item. They really had a blast doing it; the judges (elwing and I) had to taste what they prepared.
