The author of the artcle linked above wrote:...passed away peacefully Saturday, at his retreat in Palm Desert, surrounded by family, at the age of 80.

What an interesting and seemingly fun life, doing what he loved, making it better and more accessible to everyone, and getting ultra-rich in the process.

Looks like I spotted a long lost cousin in that Waikiki photo from 1960. I wonder how close he is to me.
