#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Wed Mar 26, 2014 10:08 am

There's a great trick to public speaking that I've been trying to perfect for more than 20 years at Toastmasters, and that is to make it sound as if you have every fact and figure nailed down and presented in faultless organization, while simultaneously making it appear fresh and extemporaneous, as if you had just jotted down a few things at your seat on the back of an envelope.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
