trivia deja vu

#1 Post by earendel » Mon Mar 24, 2014 12:47 pm

Last Saturday the Trivia Knights participated in a contest sponsored by an organization called The Family Tree Foundation. We have competed in their events for several years. When elwing and I got there, our team captain, TheSearchIsOn, said that when he entered the building the host recognized him and told him that they would be using the same questions that they used a year ago. Rob recalled that we hadn't done very well in that tournament and after some discussion it was decided that we would play. The good news is that we improved our score by 11 points over last year; the bad news is that we still didn't even place 3rd. I keep a notebook of our trivia nights and try to write down the questions, both for use at the game, but also for research material. I checked our answers from the previous year and with the exception of the 11-point improvement we missed the very same questions as before.

Even when we study, our blind spots and weak areas stay mostly the same.
