This observation is copied and altered somewhat from the observation of March 17, 2013.
There's nothing like sunrise in Utah's Canyonlands country, that quiet yet anticipatory time of day when nocturnal creatures hole up for the day and diurnal denizens emerge, morning breezes start to pick up, the sandstone cliffs gradually change color from pale beige, then to pink, then in some places to a spectacular deep rose, and anyone who's watching it, if she listens with bated breath, can hear an aubade in the background softly accompanying the beginnings of a new day.

Re: Observations Backlog 706 - Aubade
While I was considering an observation which would fit aubade, I thought of Canyonlands and how I would write about it, and then I remembered that I had already written something similar. So I looked it up and discovered to my delight that this is the eighth Canyonlands observation. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I copied myself from my last post about a year ago.
