Last year's WWTBAM group on the ESPN site from the 2013 NCAA tourney still exists.
You can "rejoin" the group for this year's contest.

Group Name: WWTBAM

Is it ESPN that's offering a billion-dollar prize for a perfect bracket? --Bob

Does Buffet (or Berkshire Hathaway) own Quicken Loans? They've got to be getting something out of this promotion.

Yeah, IF you can register. Says my cell phone number is already registered, but I can play for bragging rights.

Bragging rights? I pick a perfect bracket and don't get the billion $ because some asshole used my cell phone number to register? That's whacked.

I don't know how my cell phone was registered when you have to key in a code sent to that cell phone. Maybe the system is just whacked. Or its a fraud.

No, they're owned by Rock Ventures, founded by Dan Gilbert. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Gilbert_(businessman)

Millions of people are talking about the contest, Quicken Loans, and Berkshire Hathaway (which is insuring the very minimal risk). Remember that Pepsi Play For A Billion contest? The chance of winning that was far, far better than picking a perfect bracket with correct calls on 67 winners. I just saw one news report that said it was 1 in 9,200,000,000,000,000,000. That probably assumes that each game is a 50/50 outcome, so most people's odds might be better, but still essentially zero. Well, maybe not. 2 to the 67 power is 147,573,952,589,676,412,928.

Meanwhile, in order to enter, you have to give Quicken Loans a fair amount of personal information about whether you own a house and stuff like that. So anyone who enters is likely to get a lot of future spam.

The billion dollars is not worth thinking about, but I think they will also give $100K to each of the top 20 bracketologists who enter. So maybe that's worth the effort.

I received an e-mail from the Quicken/Yahoo contest stating that the registration bug has been fixed and we can now enter our brackets for their contest.

I'm in. Go Gators!

If they do win I hope the people of Florida don't start acting crazy. That would be so out of character.

Dayton got a basket with about four seconds left to beat Ohio State 60-59. There goes my billion dollars. But as an alumnus of a Louisiana school which is not LSU I found myself kind of rooting for Dayton.

I like how CBS has to call this the second round because the NCAA is pretending that those first four games no one watched were the first round. If that was the first round, 60 teams got a first round bye.

Hmmmm, I like this idea! I will have to recommend it to my Blue Ribbon panel....

Despite a few upsets, including a current possible upset of St. Joseph's over UConn, my bracket hasn't been damaged too much (yet) since I had all of those teams losing in the next round anyway.

Watch for Warren Buffett to build the Bison a new arena after they just saved him the $1,000,000,000...

Not a lot of Duke love on Twitter:

If we root hard enough against Duke then all our sins are forgiven and the Indians get their land back.

Remember, Mercer is playing for the right to be taken off the "what the fuck state is this college in" list.

Clearly Coach K can't handle the Gauntlet of Fire that is the Atlantic Sun.

You didn't win a billion dollars, but Duke lost to Mercer so it's a wash

Worst part about Duke losing in the first round is that we don't get to enjoy Duke losing in any other rounds.

That Duke loss really killed Dick Vitale's March Madness bracket:
