NBC Nightly News has confirmed the comedian and Carson guest/frequent guest host's death today at age 78.

I saw David Brenner on New Year's Eve. He was very funny.
Zach, if you must post obits without RIP, please wait until the guy's dead.

He's been confirmed dead by NBC Nightly News.
