What's up all of my fine, furry friends out there! It's your good buddy ES here to give you another of my much liked LSWE games that showcase my immense artistic talent! And this isn't just any old art game either! This is the long awaited sequel to my popular
pictorial lyrics game I posted waaaaay back in the 2009 LSWE! Oh yeah, this is gonna be the best day of your life!
Each of the pictures I drew below represents a set of lyrics from a reasonably well known song from the rock era. Figure out each song and artist as normal from the lyrical drawing given, and also transcribe the lyrics exactly as they appear in the song for another point. Each picture below represents one or two lines from a song, and you must give the line or both lines (if applicable) to get the extra point! Have fun figuring these out while I whisper a few hints in Sprotsie Baby's ear!
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 1 point for the lyrics each picture represents....
Kroxquo Bonus: Find or create an image that represents a lyric snippet of a song, and give the snippet, title, and artist for 5 points.
5 Point Bonus: If you could choose any animal to represent you, what would it be?

Penny Lane/The Beatles
In Penny Lane, there is a fireman with an hourglass,
And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen.
The Leader of the Band/Dan Fogelberg
One went to Chicago
The other to St. Paul.
This is probably wrong, since there's already a Beatles song:
She's Leaving Home/The Beatles
Father snores
As his wife gets into her dressing gown.
Calendar Girl/Neil Sedaka
Romeo and Juliet on Halloween
Life's Been Good/Joe Walsh
So I've got me an office, gold records on the wall,
Just leave a message, maybe I'll call.
Paint It Black/Rolling Stones
I see a red door
And I want it painted black.
Glory Days/Bruce Springsteen
Going down to the well tonight,
I'm gonna drink till I get my fill.
Run Runaway/Slade
See chameleon,
Lying there in the sun.
Knock Three Times/Tony Orlando and Dawn
Twice on the pipes (clang clang)
If the answer is no.
Kroxquo Bonus: Find or create an image that represents a lyric snippet of a song, and give the snippet, title, and artist for 5 points.
This one actually works as a serious American history lesson!
Howard Jones/No One Is to Blame
You can look at the menu
But you just can't eat....
5 Point Bonus: If you could choose any animal to represent you, what would it be?

Bonus - Bear

Man these are tougher than I remember the past pictorials being. But I suppose I said the same thing back then.....ha!
1.
Penny Lane - Beatles
With a portrait in his pocket of the Queen
2.
I've Been Everywhere - Hank Snow
Beats me....but Chicago and Minneapolis have got to be in there somewhere....
3.
I Want a New Drug - Huey Lewis and the News
There's an invisible man asleep in my bed
4.
Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka
Romeo and Juliet on Halloween? I can't remember that specifically in the song, but that's what tune I'm singing it to. Damn, it's hard for me to leave that preposition just hanging there....ha!
5.
Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh
Gold records on the wall, just leave a message and maybe I'll call. It might be leave your number....but then I'm sure you would have had Jenny calling....
6.
Paint It, Black - Rolling Stones
And don't forget the apostrophe!!!!!11 I see a red door and I want to paint it black. Hmmm, maybe they're not as hard as I thought now that I'm going through them one by one....
7.
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Now this one took some thought! I couldn't get wishing well out of my head, so I was all I'm drinking from the wishing well at midnight and my belly's full. Ha! Going down to the well tonight I'm gonna drink til I get my fill.
8.
A Day in the Life - Beatles
Now this one is pissing me off. 1. Because you wouldn't use the Beatles twice and 2. I read the news today is too simple and there must be a reason for those headlines, although I think the 27 club is just to ape zachhoran more thoroughly. Fuck it, I'm changing it to Into the Great Wide Open. Even though I can't remember Johnny actually dying, he was slinging back the hooch pretty good. I was going to go for Shooting Star, but I don't remember that Johnny doing anything but playing guitar...although he did die with a bottle of whiskey by his head. Aaaaahhhhhh!
9.
The Best Day of My Life - All American Possums
Money cant' buy happiness, but it can sure as hell rent it for fifteen minutes. But they don't take American Express.....
10.
Runaway - Slade
See a chameleon lying in the sun. Is it Runaway? I swear I can hear Noddy Holder singing that. You almost made me knee jerk Karma Chameleon, but it wasn't a red gold and green sequence and there's a prominent sun. Or maybe I just think too much and outsmart myself (see #8)
11.
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
A werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand. Haven't you used this before? Maybe in the album game? Or perhaps just the imagery? Or have I just seen Men in Black 3 too many times recently?
12.
Knock Three Times - Tony Orlando and Dawn
Twice on the pipe if the answer is no. Did you know that Tony Orlando escaped from the rehab center last night? They found him at the crack of dawn.......ha! SUPERMAX!!!!!11
Kroxquo Bonus: Find or create an image that represents a lyric snippet of a song, and give the snippet, title, and artist for 5 points.
Spoilered at the bottom (to preserve formatting) in case you want to take a minute to try and figure it out
5 Point Bonus: If you could choose any animal to represent you, what would it be?
Oh, I don't know.... Maybe a feline of some sort? Hmmm, let's go with a cat. Perhaps um.... a calico, perhaps?
Hey Baby - No Doubt "I'm just sipping on chamomile"

Private Littlebeast, front and center!
So Private littlebeast thinks he's an artist. A real Norman Fucking Van Gogh. Let's just see what ol' Gunny has to say about these modern masterpieces

Penny Lane - The Beatles
In Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass.
And in his pocket is portrait of the queen.
Well isn't that adorable. Private Esto keeps a picture of his ho with him at all times. Well, since your days of fingerbanging ol' Mary Jane Rottencrotch through her pretty pink panties ARE OVER! and your hands are full, I guess that explains the smiling dog. To each his own, Private Esto. To each his own
Oh that's right, Private Marley, don't make any fucking effort to get to the top of the LS standings. Just keep hoping for "Shitty songs by groups no one has ever heard of Day" on LS and you'll be fine. It looks like Private Confessor would rather walk all the way to Saint Fucking Paul rather than spend another minute in the cellar with your sorry ass. Good luck in Chicago, Private Marley.

Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh
I have an office, gold records on the wall
Just leave a message, maybe I'll call
Private T-Bone, the only calls you'll be getting will be from me telling you to remove that ridiculous ring from your nose. Now move your lazy ass out from behind that desk or I'm going to rip your balls off, so you cannot contaminate the rest of the world! I will motivate you, Private T-Bone, IF IT SHORT-DICKS EVERY CANNIBAL ON THE CONGO!
My Marine Corp. My Rules

Paint It, Black - The Rolling Stones
I see a red door and I want it painted black
Private Weasel! You little scumbag,! I got your name! I got your ass! You will not laugh! You will not cry! You will paint by the numbers. I will teach you! Now get up! Get on your feet! You had best unfuck yourself or I will unscrew your head and shit down your neck! Now paint it. Paint it black.

Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
I'm gonna go to the well
and drink 'til I have my fill
Private Tangredi, did you drink that entire pitcher yourself? You are a disgusting fatbody, Private Tangredi.
[addresses the Bored]
Private Tangredi has dishonored himself and dishonored the Bored! I have tried to help him, but I have failed! I have failed because you have not helped me! You BBs have not given Private Tangredi the proper motivation! So! From now on, whenever Private Tangredi fucks up, I will not punish him. I will punish all of you! And the way I see it, BBs, you owe me for pitcher of blue slop! Now, get on your faces!
Well, who do we have here?
Glad to have you back Private Fanny. So glad you could grace us with your presence on the Bored, Private Fanny. Nice to see you take some time out of your busy schedule, Private Fanny. I've kept track of how many days you've been AWOL, Private Fanny and the number is bigger than Joe Blow's dick size. Enjoy the brig, Private Fanny, and tell Private Mini ol' Gunny says hi!

Private Dancer - Tina Turner
American Express will do nicely, thank you
What is this Mickey Mouse shit? What in the name of Jesus H. Christ are you doing on my Bored? Why is Private Melly out of her bunk after lights-out? Why is Private Elwood holding that credit card? Why aren't you stomping Private Elwood's guts out?

Were wolves of London - Warren Zevon
I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Who said Aaahoo? Who the fuck said Aaahoo? Who's the slimy little communist shit, twinkle-toed cocksucker down here who just signed his own death warrant? Was it you, Private Smiler? How about you, Private Search? Nobody, huh? The fairy fucking godmother said it. Out-fucking-standing! I will force you all to watch crappy promos you all until you fucking die! I'll promo you until your assholes are sucking buttermilk!

Knock Three Times - Tony Orlando and Dawn
Twice on the pipe if you ain't gonna show
Private Sprots, let me give you some advice. Not all the obstacles that can trip you up are on this Bored. Let me tell you something about the local squirrels. Ever since there's been a Bored here, there's been what you'd call the Squirrel's Nest Rodents. The poor squirrels come to the Bored with just one thing in mind, and that's to get a scritch from a BB and then some. A Squirrel's Nest Rodent will tell you, "Don't you worry about contraceptives. I've got that all taken care of." Don't believe it, Private Sprots. A Squirrel's Nest Rodent will do anything and say anything to get you to scritch. I know this sounds silly, especially in this so-called modern age, but you should watch out, because he's out there, and you, Private Sprots, are the answer to his dream!
Kroxquo Bonus:
This is my rifle, this is my gun

This is for fighting, this is for fun
This is my rifle, this is my gun

This is for fighting, this is for fun
This is my rifle, this is my gun

This is for fighting, this is for fun[/b]
5 Point Bonus:
I choose to be a BB, because today, you are all BBs. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every BB is your brother. Most of you will go to the chat room. Some of you will not come back. But always remember this: BBs play LS. That's what we're here for. But the The Bored lives forever. And that means YOU live forever.
Well done, Private Littlebeast. Well done.

Have fun figuring these out while I whisper a few hints in Sprotsie Baby's ear!
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 1 point for the lyrics each picture represents....
Sorry, lb, there is no humor in my answers...sad, sad day for this Texas bored member. Hoping and praying all my friends who were downtown having fun are okay this morning. I'm pretty much just "present" today. I'll try to make you laugh tomorrow.
Paint It Black - Rolling Stones
"I see a red door and I want it painted black, no colors anymore"

A Day in the Life - The Beatles
"I read the news today, oh boy"
Karma Chameleon - Culture Club

Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
"I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand"
Knock Three Times - Dawn
"Twice on the pipes if the answer is no"
Kroxquo Bonus: Find or create an image that represents a lyric snippet of a song, and give the snippet, title, and artist for 5 points.
5 Point Bonus: If you could choose any animal to represent you, what would it be?

Penny Lane - Beatles - "There is a fireman with an hourglass / And in his pocket is a portrait of the queen"
Leader of the Band - Dan Fogelberg - "One went to Chicago / The other to St. Paul"
Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr. - "An invisible man sleeping in your bed"
Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka - "Romeo and Juliet on Halloween" (My Romeo and Juliet suck, so I had to have the quote bail me out on this one....)
"Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh - "So I got me an office, gold records on the wall / Just leave a message, maybe I'll call" (Or donuts nailed to the wall, as Sgt. Friday would say...)
Paint It, Black - Rolling Stones - "I see a red door and I want it painted black" (One of the good things about games like this is I can use lyrics from the song that I couldn't use in a normal game without giving it away...)
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen - "I think I'm going down to the well tonight / And I'm gonna drink till I get my fill"
Tom's Diner - Suzanne Vega - "I open up the paper, there's a story of an actor / Who had died while he was drinking" (I don't think anybody got this one, and pretty much every guess given was for "A Day in the Life"...)
Private Dancer - Tina Turner - "American Express will do nicely, thank you" (I can totally see prostitutes having those little portable credit card readers that the ballpark vendors now walk around with...)
Run Runaway - Slade - "See (the) chameleon lying there in the sun"
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon - "I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand" (I wanted to include the Soho in the rain line as well, but couldn't think of a way to represent Soho in the drawing, and I was running late on finishing these pics anyway....)
Knock Three Times - Tony Orlando & Dawn - "Twice on the pipe if the answer is no"
Kroxquo Bonus: Find or create an image that represents a lyric snippet of a song, and give the snippet, title, and artist for 5 points.
If LSWE makes it another season, and I include more of these pictorial bonuses like this, I will have to give a primer on how to upload and post images to the Bored. These are a lot of fun, and once again, I enjoyed a lot of the pictures you provided with your answers!
5 Point Bonus: If you could choose any animal to represent you, what would it be?
I'm glad a lot of people didn't choose their ES animal.... after all, why should you rely on a squirrel to tell you what you should be?

What do you mean IF?????
I'm so happy to have these to start the day with, and I'm so sorry this round is going to be over soon! And I especially love the pictorial ones. I know it's hard work, but DON'T TAKE MY LSWE AWAY!
(That's also your thank you, which I was going to save for the last game until I saw this threat!)

You might want to mention it again in the last game anyway to get your free three points!
As much as I love hosting this game, it always bogs me down the final few weeks and I'm happy to get rid of it for another year so I can catch up on everything I get behind on. I wish I had stumped myself on bonus Q's earlier though, because the free for all image bonuses have been one of my best ideas yet, and I might even replace the 5 pointer with that next season!
