Free Lizzie!!

Update:
I retained a lawyer to get my rights back for Dizzy Miss Lizzie and to force Amazon and B&N and others to stop selling it online. We are giving the (reclusive) publisher ten days to cooperate or the rights revert to me by default.
For those who don't know, Stanley Publishing published my book, sent me one tiny royalty check, then "liquidated" a few months later. I have gotten nothing from them since summer of 2012.
I hate to spend the money, but it irks me to see any author's work sold with no compensation. Publisher had plenty of chances to avoid this action. I even offered her $200 last fall to make this go away.
That request (like all the others) was met with silence. Fortunately, silence is not golden and she'll have to answer to the suits this time. I read the MEAN SCARY LETTER and we are not screwing around.
Lizzie is pissed, so I recommend you stay out of her way!

I am also sorry you had to resort to this but you have every right to get your book back!
Sternly worded letters are very helpful.
Go get her!

Update:
As expected, the cowardly publisher refused to respond to any lawyer letter or phone message, so the rights to Dizzy Miss Lizzie have been returned to me by default.
Next, the lawyer has sent a letter to Amazon and B&N to cease and desist selling it on their sites. We also threatened to sue for back royalties, but this will be a waste of time/money since publisher has pretty much disappeared from society.
Inappropriate language follows:
She can eat a bowl of dicks and die in a fire
.

Is that really how the law works? It seems so just and reasonable that it almost has to be an April Fools' joke.
Congratulations on getting your rights back.

Congrats! You wouldn't be so mean as to make this an April Fool's joke, would you?

Is that really fair to the dicks?

Exactly. Plus, she'd be getting the benefit of barbecue as she expired which is much too much of an amenity as I see it.

The e-version is no longer available on Amazon. That was fast!
There are still some third party hard copies for sale and Amazon can't be forced to remove them. I will likely buy the $10 copies and leave the others.
Next stop: Barnes & Noble dot com

Ding dong the witch is dead!
Lizzie is no longer available as a download from B&N or anywhere else.
That means the next time someone buys a copy, I'll get paid.
My lawyer rocks!

I found a new publisher for Lizzie. The Center Point publisher (Writers AMuse Me) sent me a contract earlier today.
We'll even get a new cover.
No release date yet, but November sounds likely.
Only thing left to do is pay the lawyer bill!

I hear those Michigan lawyers are quite reasonable.
You did use their services, didn't you?
