This begs the question -- who's left from the "classic" days of game shows (pre-1980)? I think Tom Kennedy is still around, and I know Hugh Downs, Peter Marshall, Wink Martindale, and Bob Eubanks are. And I suppose you can count Vin Scully and Joe Gargiola (Sr.) in that group, since they did game shows back in the day.

Who am I missing here?

Duh---I forgot two obvious ones from the era -- Chuck Woolery and Alex Trebek (High Rollers)

Don't forget Hugh Downs, who hosted Concentration and gave away lovely matched sets of American Tourister luggage.

He's not a host, but you can't mention a list of old timers without Don Pardo, who announced the original Jeopardy and is still active on Saturday Night Live at age 96.

He's in my first message; I can't forget the man who taught me how to count to 30, and a one-time head of the National Space Society.

And now that I think of it, the current Jeopardy announcer Johnny Gilbert has been around a long, long time as well. Working on Jeopardy must be good for your health.

So you did! Sorry about that. Maybe I subconsciously just wanted to say "American Tourister luggage."

And don't forget Randy West.

Randy West is an old school guy game show wise, but only about 60 years old, 15-30 years younger than the people talked about in this thread. I think the only hosts of Chuck Barris shows(which aired from 1965-1989) deceased are Lange and Clark Race(Parent Game). ALso still alive among announcers is John Harlan from 70s-80s Name that Tune.

Don Morrow is another old-school host and announcer from game shows and other TV shows. He celebrated his 87th birthday last month and is still announcing today.

Another old-school announcer, Bern Bennett, is still alive and well at age 92... although he retired from announcing a decade ago.

And don't forget that Chuck Barris is alive and kicking at 84.
