The Ninth Circuit today ordered Google to take down The Innocence of Muslims on the theory that the actress who sued, Cindy Garcia, owned a copyright interest in her peformance and the producers' fraud in securing her performance vitiated any claim that they enjoyed an implied license to use her performance.

Aside from the legal analysis, I found interesting that one of the two attorneys on the briefing for the plaintiff, Credence Sol, is an old colleague of mine from the firm at which I practiced for nine years. --Bob
