Observations January 31, 2014 - Aerie

Every now and then, local joggers, or, more accurately, joggers recently transplanted from some dreadful place like Southern California, will complain about seasonal closings of various trails, restrictions which are put into place to protect aeries and other wildlife dens, and they are given short shrift by anyone they complain to.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

I debated using that, and then I said to myself, "Nah, Esto doesn't read the observations . . . "
