Obviously done by the same folks who did the Radio Shack ad for the Super Bowl, but still funny. Check out the pilots at the end for a really good laugh!

I heard that this morning, and thought two things:
a) now they'll ban that on carry-on (I always figured it was part of the liquid stuff and kept it in the one-quart TSA bag)
b) what took them so long to figure that out? Toothpaste tubes have been used for some time in spy novels and such for everything from smuggled messages to carrying plastique.

I think that I have watched enough episodes of 'Burn Notice" and paid attention when Michael Weston explained things that C4 or the most commom plastic explosives is no more explosive than the toothpaste in the tube without a detonator. In fact shooting a bullet at it won't set it off and neither will burning it

Even the Mythbusters have to really work at it to get anything to go 'boom'
I think the US Department of Paranoia has been working too many late nights, and needs a nap.

There are "binary" explosives: You mix two things together and they go BOOM. That doesn't require a detonator.
