ANSWERS/POINTS LS SURPRISE TUESDAY March 25

Well, the first SURPRISE! is that it isn't Tuesday yet. But since I'm not sure that I'll be able to get online tomorrow morning to post, I'm doing it early rather than late.
The second SURPRISE! is that we are now back to the future and this is 2008! On one of the Tuesday games all I had was the list of songs. No lyrics, no bonuses, no nothing. After considering that the surprise was that they were all songs written by Shel Silverstein, I decided nobody would probably cry a lot about missing that one. Cause you either know Shel songs, or you don't.
So, I had to write a new game, yay! Since the rest of the month are all songs at least 6 years old (and mostly older), I decided to make this one a little more current.
So, without further ado, here are ten of my favourite songs from the last couple years. Since it's still early in the year, I'm counting 2006 in there. So I don't think there's anything in here older than that, but don't hold me to it.
If you're still reading (I know you're not) I also got carried away on the bonuses. The first two are so tough I gave you an artist, but even if you're clueless on those, you still have a good shot at the last two.

Bonus Bonus: The #2 song was by Cliff Nobles and Co (although he obviously didn’t sing on it). What was the name of this one?
Super Bonus: The group that played the horns on that #2 song later formed the group known as MFSB. What did that acronym mean?
What? Another Bonus? Bonus: MFSB’s biggest (and only, as far as I know) was also an instrumental, called TSOP. So what did THOSE initials mean?

I'm officially back from Spring Break frolicking, so I'll take a shot.
Don't have a clue on any of the lyrics, but the Bonus stuff is closer to my wheelhouse.

Bonus Bonus: The Horse (this one is so overplayed that I automatically change the station if it comes on the car radio)

Grazing in the Grass
Redone as a fifth-dimension-esque vocal by Friends of Distinction
The Horse, by Cliff Noble and Company.
This is a very peculiar track, with sections several bars long which sound like a mere accompanying track. And this is because it was an accompanying track, originally. I dont remember the rest of the story, except that whoever was supposed to sing was not Cliff Noble.
And of course the horns were dynamite. MFSB officially is Mother Father Sister Brother. TSOP was The Sound of Philadelphia.

Which they were. fer sure, in the early seventies
But in 1968 even trading away a future US Senator couldn't make the Philadelphia Phillies a good baseball team, and the NL was won by the Cardinals featuring a future announcer at the ketcher spot.

I thought there might be some carnage, but I didn't know that NOBODY listens to current music, with the exception of nelly and astro, who both got a few, and tlitf, who apparently only like current bands that suck and therefore do not perform any of my favourite songs.
I even tried to stay with hits. A couple wags (astro and ed) here that were on my list but didn't make the final cut were Hey There Delilah and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley (it's impossible to get two consecutive lines that don't have crazy in it).
