Lyrically Speaking - 1/22/14

#1 Post by ShitSandwich » Wed Jan 22, 2014 7:42 am

Now that I've (hic!) cleared all of those stupid mangy rodents out of the way, it's time for a little Wacky Wednesday Kitty Sandwich style! Oh yeah... I was going to take the year off to give all the pussies on the Bored a break, but my public demands my usual tribute to the four letter word. OK, suckers, here you go! Don't forget to wipe after you're done playing... I'll be using the bidet as a jacuzzi for myself and the Fanster.... mrrowwwllll!!!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...

1. But now these days are gone I'm not so self assured,
Now I find
I've changed my mind, I've opened up the doors.

2. Can you feel it ,see it, hear it today?
If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway
You will never understand it cuz it happens too fast
And it feels so good, it's like walking on glass

3. I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely

4. With a thrill in my head and a pill on my tongue
dissolve the nerves that have just begun.
Listening to Marvin (all night long.)

5. Look around you, look up here
Take time to make time, make time to be there
Look around, be a part
Feel for the winter, but don't have a cold heart

6. I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

7. Why in the world would anybody put chains on me?
I've paid my dues to make it
Everybody wants me to be what they want me to be
And I´m not happy when I try to fake it yeah

8. She's saving up all of her money,
Wants to head it south in May,
Maybe roll in the sand with a rock 'n' roll man,
Somewhere down Montserrat way.

9. You crossed the line too many times,
I'm gonna put you in your place
You play with dynamite don't be surprised
When I blow up in your face
Oh my, oh my

10. Baby you hold me tight
Cause you can make it right
You can shoot me stright to the top
Give me love and take all I got

11. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home

12. I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
Two bottle whiskey for the way
And I sure would like some sweet company
And I'm leaving tomorrow what-do-ya say?

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits Kitty Sandwich could have used today.

Mecca Bonus: Four of the songs above have been on the Mecca CD. Which numbers? (10 possible points)

5 Point Bonus: The drummer on which of the songs above appeared as a contestant on WWTBAM just a few shows before my episode back in January 2001?

Getting two songs with similar titles mixed up and giving the wrong artist is more embarrassing when you follow it with a joke based on the wrong artist.
