Road trip for Second-Born Son

(Note that I did not refer to him as #2 Son; both boys share that title in my book.)
Anyhow, he is riding down to the Magic Kingdom as we speak; the local HS band gets to march down there over spring break. He was cranked up to the point where he was even looking forward to the 25-hour bus ride (each way).
If nothing else, the music department at MHS sure knows how to pick the road trips...long rides but well worthwhile...

I'm sure he'll have a great time, 25 hour bus ride or not. Oh to be young again. Give us an update when he gets back.

Made me laugh and laugh.
I shall steal that at some really good time.
Hope he has fun!

They're tied for #2 instead of for #1? That doesn't sound good.
And can that be a beard on your firstborn's chin?

I'm guessing they were called that when they were in diapers.

Yessirreebob.
Better on the eldest child, though, than on the youngest...

I am sure he will...he has been counting the days for months now.
And, FTR, they are both actually #1 sons to me; the youngest has earned the title of Favorite Daughter...to which she always replies "and your least-favorite, too".

Especially when it was my turn to take care of business...

I hope your son has a great time and enjoys the parade. Are you traveling with him?

No such luck. Gotta stay home and take care of things. I am not worried though, as 1) he is in good hands (we know the chaperones well, their daughter is first-born's GF) and 2) he is a good kid in his own right, and smart enough not to get into trouble.
Sure would have been nice to watch, though, I will grant you that...
