I feel as if I've been in a '60s Batman episode.
BAM! elwing's partial breaks and has to be replaced and insurance doesn't cover it because it isn't old enough?!
OOF! The Prius wouldn't start because a 12-volt battery has gone dead. I didn't even know it had such a battery. Took it to the dealer and while working on that he discovered a wheel hub bearing going bad and needs to be replaced.
POW! Cable bill increase. No improvements in service, just the power that a monopoly has to regulate itself absent a city government that refuses to do so.
It hasn't been a good day in Rivendell.
