Just took J! test

I thought this one was easier than the one I took last year. I knew more of the questions-that's helpful.
Plenty of pop culture (recent movies, books, music), the standard Shakespeare and ballet questions, no opera this time (thankfully) plus assorted other topics. I blanked out on an element (couldn't remember what the symbol they gave stood for) and a French queen.
I signed up for Detroit-will 20 years of waiting finally pay off?

I had way too many brain freezes to pass this one, I think.
CU was copper.

Didn't take test, but I wish that I did, if there was a ballet question.
Pirouette appears to be the answer, but what was the question?

The ballet question was something like "it's a term for when a dancer turns on one foot" (I don't remember the exact words) which I knew is a pirouette. I have a friend who used to be a professional dancer-she would know this one!

I'm not taking the test for real until Thursday, but tonight's total was 44/50. From #11 to #23, I was 7/13, so I'll have to remember not to panic if I hit a bad stretch.

This is the first time I can recall not taking the test the first night it was offered because I wasn't sure I'd get back by 7:00. Then, my meeting got cancelled due to the cold weather so I worked from home anyway.
Going off the J-Board, I got 47 out of 50, but there were a couple I'm not sure I would have gotten in 15 seconds if I'd actually been on the clock.
Tomorrow night I play for real.

It was too cold to play Team Trivia last night so I took the test. I think I had 46 right.

Was the right answer Catherine or Marie? BOTH were French queens.

I just checked the J bored to see how I did. I got 44 out of 50-that's pretty good. I hope they gave me credit for my mangled spelling of "Pterodactyl".

Well, I missed 11. Two were smack-my-head questions where the answers didn't drop out until 3 Qs later, despite being on "the tip of my brain".
So I should still be in the call-back range if 35 right is the cut-off. But I was there last year & got no call/letter/whatever they do nowadays.

Somewhere between 37 and 39, depending on scoring of partially typed answers. Would have been 40-plus but had a couple of misreads on the clue due to being stupid and not reading the category first. Definitely need to bone up on recent pop culture.
I'm not holding my breath for the audition invite. If it happens, it happens.

Sheesh! I got off to a bad start (couldn't remember Thurgood Marshall or Queen Victoria), said Richard II rather than III, blanked on "Captain Morgan", couldn't rearrange letters to get "flounder", put "Sam-I-Am" and tried to correct it but not in time, said "Ender's Song" instead of "Game", blanked on "lingo", "Terry McMillan", "Rihanna", and "Elizabeth Barrett Browning". Put me down for a 38, possibly my worst score ever.
