I was watching with my son and said this is a repeat from 20 years ago I checked and
#1296, aired 1990-04-02 ACTORS & THEIR ROLES: This actor won a 1952 Tony and a 1956 Oscar for playing the same ruler

J! must air differently here. Our Final J! was 20th Century Quotes -- Churchill said that this is the worst form of government ever tried, except for everything else.

And another actor who once played the same ruler as the actor in this clue also won both a Tony and an Oscar for playing a different role.

I saw both FJs today. The Churchill FJ was from the current season. The Actors FJ was from last year, shown in cities that have a double run.

Hmmm. I saw the Churchill quote today and the Actors FJ yesterday--both episodes in the same time slot.

You sound more sure than I am, so I'm probably mistaken. In Austin, they run last year's episode at 4:00 and the new episode at 4:30 and I watched both today, but I might be remembering yesterday.

Yes, you're right, according to the J-Board. I should have checked first. I thought I was providing an easy answer for why Sprots saw a different episode today. Maybe her local affiliate is shifting the episodes that got preempted for football.

Jeopardy! has asked some version of the same Yul Brynner question many times, always slightly rephrased.
