NFL Coaching Carousel Begins

It's Black Monday, the day after the NFL season and time for losing teams to start jettisoning coaches (actually the Texans jumped the gun this year when they fired Ted Kubiak, but they've got the first draft choice so they're allowed to do that):

Mike Shanahan out at Washington.
Rob Chudzinski out at Cleveland.
Leslie Frazier out at Minnesota.

I'm sure there's more to come.

Problem is, they should have fired Gary Kubiak, not his evil twin, Ted.

Not counting the mysterious Kubiak brothers, there's two more casualties today (three if you count GMs):

Greg Schiano out at Tampa Bay (along with GM Mark Dominik)
Jim Schwartz out at Detroit

It's amazing how much I've lost touch with the NFL. I used to be able to name every head coach... now, I have no idea who four of today's five firees are...

I hear Detroit very interested in Ken Whisenhunt also apparently the Browns have told Ray Horton he can look for another job new coach may not keep him so there is his DC and for OC Mike Mularkey , 2 time head coach and former OC with Steelers, Whisenhunt replaced him, and Falcons before head coach at Jax. Not too shabby a staff to straighten out the Detroit talent.

I guess it takes longer in Tennessee than in most places to realize the season is over.

The University of (wait 'til next year)Tennessee is a big source of TN pro players. They come by it honestly.
