I got what is definitely the most realistic looking phishing e-mail I've ever seen tonight. It purported to be from Walmart and claimed that because of unauthorized access, my account had been locked.
I guess the days of obvious spelling and grammatical errors are behind us.

Yeah, the ones I get for my Wells Fargo Bank account look very real too --- one problem, I don't bank with them.

SteelersFan has always declined to provide an E-mail to any company we do business with, and I started doing the same this year after blocking E-mails from addresses similar to what Cal and Bob describe.

The problem I have is with local school organizations. You have to have an email so they can include you in the communications, but the nimrods send out everyones' email addresses in the 'To' field and not the 'bcc' field so my address gets picked up by everyones' computer on the list that doesn't have proper virus protection.

If I try to block e-mails, I'll never get my Nigerian inheritance.

Wow, that's extreme. I
want emails instead of dead-tree mail. All of my email goes through SpamCop.net which does a great job of filtering phishing, malware, and just plain spam out.
