Observations December 9, 2013 - Glade

My favorite hike starts at about 10,000 feet elevation on a trailhead surrounded by evergreens, mostly Colorado Blue Spruce, winds its way up steep banks, through glades with grass, wildflowers, bees, grasshoppers, and other flora and fauna, and ends up atop the Continental Divide at about 12,000 feet overlooking the trailhead which began the hike on one side and the Gunnison Valley on the other.
