I'm only asking because the Weir Foundation has named me their beneficiary and wants to give that to me.

I have to know if it's worth my while.
Dear Beneficiary

My Wife Christine and I are donating £550,000 to you.Contact us via my wife email at (Wouldn't_you_ BBs_like_to_know@I_know_and_ you_don't.com) for further details.

Dear Beneficiary, huh?

If I were to donate £550,000 to someone, I'd at least take the time to learn his/her name.

BTW, can you copyright your "best regards"? :P

SSS, you will either be amused or horrified by this, or both.

While representing Floyd Lee Madison in a criminal case in 2011, [lawyer Robert Allan Wright Jr.] was presented with documents purporting to evidence that Madison was the beneficiary of a large bequest from his long-lost cousin in Nigeria. Madison represented to Wright that upon payment of $177,660 in taxes owed on the inheritance in Nigeria, the sum of $18,800,000 would be released to Madison. He asked Wright to represent him in securing the transfer of the funds from Nigeria. In consideration for a fee equal to ten percent of the funds recovered, Wright agreed to represent Madison in the Nigerian transaction.

I had to read several pages before discovering, to my complete surprise, that no money was ever received from Nigeria.

This lawyer should have been disbarred for complete and utter stupidity.

 The worth of 550,000 pounds ? That depends on what it is 550,000 of. Obviously 550,000 pounds of coke is more valuable than 550,000 pounds of pot.

I think that's not a criterion for disbarment.
