I've mentioned it on social media, so I'll mention it here too. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I don't like Cedric "hurrying up" a contestant just to make a joke. Don't make contestants have the potential of being uncomfortable for working out a question just to get a laugh when they're analyzing the clues/hidden aspects of a question. I'm becoming less interested in the show with Cedric at the helm.

I don't think you're overreacting, Chad. Even though TDC has been terminated, the time a contestant has on a question is still a gray area, apparently under TPTB's control as to what they consider reasonable. But whatever that time is, a contestant deserves the chance to concentrate on the question without distractions from a host whose bantering skills are all dependent on joking around.

Our guide talked about this clear back when I was in Australia in 1993. They're trying to keep the infection completely out of Phillip Island, so that if chlamydia ends up killing off the mainland population, they'll be able to repopulate from the island.

Gets mistaken for Cedric
Given the weight difference I don't get how he could be mistaken for Cedric. His brother, maybe. He came out wearing an outfit that was a duplicate of what Cedric was wearing, down to the hat. I suspect there was some wardrobe collusion going on.

I'd jump this one. The Pig War was between the U.S. and Britain over the San Juan Islands, near Vancouver; the Pastry War was between France and Mexic; and the War of the Stray Dog was between Greece and Bulgaria.

If you know that 3 are actual names of wars, why would you JtQ?

Perhaps he looked up those details, after watching the episode?

I'd heard of the Pig War when I visited the San Juan Islands on vacation. Although it did escalate into a border dispute (ultimately arbitrated by Kaiser Wilhelm I), the only casualty of the "war" was...a pig.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_War

Now that I've looked them up, the other Pastry War and the War of the Stray Dog were more serious, but still not anything that one would expect to learn in a World History class.

Perhaps. Because he often ignores posts between the OP and his take on the transcripts, I was assuming he went right to it and would add any researched information later.
