Observations Backlog 600 - Regurgitate

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Sat Nov 16, 2013 2:47 pm

This observation is quoted with our thanks to MarleysGh0st from a post of July 14, 2009.

That seemed hard enough, but then it's got to regurgitate it to feed the chicks?

I would have bet good money that I could find a good used of the word "regurgitate" on the Bored, and sure enough, Marley came through twice.

The second use didn't quite fill the bill, however, because Marley was quoting somebody else. Here's the quotation:
We have a baby heron! Barely visible from the 3rd flr, def. evidence of partially obscured white fluffy thing promoting adult to regurgitate
So it was already disqualified, which is a good thing, because I couldn't figure out "3rd flr, def" and wouldn't have been able to translate it.

...third floor, definite evidence of...

The odd thing is, I didn't know the Lab of Ornithology had a third floor. Maybe in the part of the building reserved for staff only, but the public observation room that has the best view of the heron nest that I'm aware of is on the second floor.

Some of us just prefer to use the more acceptable "barf".....
