I think I'm a manure farmer now
You know the joke, the one who goes out to harvest but finds only farting horses. For me, the recruiters are the gassy equines. They keep calling, and sometimes I get phone and even in-person interviews out of it. But I'm waiting for a job offer. I'm trying to stay positive, but it gets a bit frustrating. As the manure farmer said after a month of nothing but raspberries from the horses, "I can't live on promises!"

No sooner did I write this than I fielded three straight recruiter calls, two of which were followups to arrange phone interviews. Hopefully, not just more gas.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

I found a better contract job here (same rate but prime shift and something more than watching lights blink) then had someone call with a perfect permanent job for me. It turned out it was with the same regional bank I'm going to contract to so I can't talk to them due to a non-compete. I have the contracting outfit finding out about the permanent job now.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Hopefully, some of these (or at least one) will pan out.
I've got to say that when I first saw the title of this thread the evil BB in me was wishing I had two MM's set up. One to reply, "Oh, you're a democrat now" and the other to say, "Oh, you're a republican". Just to see what would happen.
