This is a visual category. Below are pictures of 16 famous cats of fact and fiction. Can you get a purr-fect score today or will this challenge prove to be a cat-astrophe?

If you can't see the pictures in this thread, try clicking here: http://www.angelfire.com/ky3/nellylunat ... 20qod.html

Aw, heck. I looked at the pix at home but didn't have time to post answers. Now I have time, but the work 'puter is blocking the pix :(

I guess I'll have to wait till I get home.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Not to take away from what has certainly been a very creative QoD run by Nelly, but I used pics in the final 2 rounds of Take Me Out To The Ballgame posted in the early days of this Bored.

By the way, this was a clever and fun QOD, Nelly.

I have been going back and adding spoiler tags for non-spoiled entries (I've gotten used to doing it in LS, especially for Kroxquo, who doesn't seem to have a handle on how the spoiler button works here yet), and have done so for the 2 non-spoiled entries in this game. I know Nelly doesn't want anyone editing their own answer post, but I've had people opt out of playing my games before after accidentally seeing posted answers.

Of course, if the QoD Meister objects, I will refrain from doing it....

I'm using the angelfire pictures just so that there will be one less answer that you'll have to scroll through all the pictures in order to score.
Spoiler

1. Heathcliff

2. I was going to just answer 'some chick in a Star Trek uniform' until I realized it's was a chef's coat. Cat Cora!

3. Punky

4. Top Kat (I think it's with a K, I hope spelling doesn't count on these)

5. Morris

6. Socks

7. Cat Stevens

8. Salem

9. Catmelo Anthony

10. Lippy the Lion

11. Snowflake

12. Toonces

13. Katt Williams

14. Chessie

15. Figaro (I hope Cleo was the goldfish.)

Bonus: Goober

I was sure Kat Von D would be in there.

Spoiler
Excellent! I like pictures and I like cats. (Before I could read, I only looked at pictures in books. I started figuring out what the letters under the pictures meant to find out who I was looking at.)

1. Garfield
2. Cat Cora
3. Stempy
4. Top Cat (with Mr. Arnold Stang)
5. Morris
6. Socks (I like all the White House four-footers.)
7. Mr. Cat Stevens, who has a different name now, but I don't know it.
8. Pyewacket
9. Rap Cat
10. Chorus Lion ("That's a joke, son."-- Yosemite Sam)
11. Snow (I saw this movie! That cat was so rude.)
12. Toonces
13. A cool cat
14. Chessie
15. Figaro
Bonus. Misty

This was fun. Even if I did have to make up some not-so-perfect answers, I don't think it was a cat-astrophe.
