So where was "I Am the Walrus" in fanny's LS?
All the talk about the 5th anniversary of Shock & Awe got me to thinking about the fact that it was the title of the rankings I posted 5 years ago this night (Since, from this month on, this year corresponds exactly to 2003), and I thought of reposting that rankings to do a 5 year comparison, but then I noticed I did an expanded edition the following week... and since next week will be the end of the month expanded edition, it would be better to compare the 3/26 lists 5 years apart....

You and fanny both missed the cut by single digits.....
It isn't a stretch at all that you could both debut in the Top 100 next week...

Single digits? That's all? Well, naturally, we will both make the Top 100 next week as we're both quizmeisters this month.

The only way for that to happen, though, is for both of you to overtake plasticene as well as taurus.... otherwise one of you will still be at 101...
At your posting rates from last week, it's about a 50/50 shot it'll happen.....

Well, let me ask this question: Is it conceivable that plasticene could post enough to pass okiepat, and then me and fannie could knock both taurus and okiepat out of the 100?

I get sad when I think of taurus.
I think he is really incomplete about his experiences in the hot seat and that we remind him of that.
makes me sad

Of course I stay confused, but doesn't the ranking number also sort of depend on who is above you and their posting pattern, so to speak?

nelly and fanny would need plasticene to post less or not at all to help them move up. If taurus came back and started posting, they (nelly and fanny) would have to post much more than if he didn't.
So........ you are not wrong about that.

Me, too.
There are other BBs who have taken their Hot Seat experiences hard (I particularly remember GregDVM, who didn't even want to watch the broadcast of his appearance or let other friends know he'd be on), but I was in the audience when taurus llamaed and was standing by for a PAF call when he was dursted by the audience and 50/50 during his llamarama appearance, so his outcome hit me hard, too.

It seems that PSM gos up two slots each week - she's
really on fire, if that's true.

Not a chance, unless plasticene goes on a posting tear... and then there's no way both of you (or even one of you) would pass okiepat by next Wednesday night....

Well, PSM is always on fire, but BobJ's is more the fact that HFJai & takinover are seperated by only 3 posts....
Wait until gsabc finally reaches the ScrabbleTed-RevDodd block. A jump of Up 5 is not out of the question....

Can I be gratuitous too? Or do I just want to see my avatar again?

These whippersnappers don't even begin to understand the notion of gratuitous posting. hbomb and I were tops at it. The Verbose Class got its name for a reason.
