Chris Tarrant has had enough. Or maybe England ran out of celebrities. It had a good run, and it changed a lot of lives in many ways, including everyone who has ever posted here. Thanks!

Re: RIP WWTBAM UK
At least the Brits are smart enough to figure out when enough is enough. That's why a brilliant show like "Fawlty Towers" ran for only 12 episodes. It didn't have enough time or exposure to turn into a cow patty.

Too bad Benny Hill wasn't still around. They could have used him as a replacement. It would have been better than what we got. Old Ced is from St. Louis and no local station picked up the show this year. That's pretty bad.

Chris Tarrant is still talking about the demise of WWTBAM in the UK. And, yeah, he says they ran out of smart celebs.
Funny how he doesn't even mention the idea of going back to having regular people as contestants. Surely there's some intelligence left in that population.

We're not going to go that step down, like so many other shows, and go the TOWIE or Geordie Shore route. It might work in the jungle, but it doesn't on Millionaire because it's about intelligence."
