Seattle, WA

At least this guy stood still while at the Hot Podium, unlike some of the people we've seen so far this season. Here's how I'd play his stack:1. easy.  This is a popular camp song.2. easy.  I've heard of this show. 3. The word "saw" in the question pretty much gives the answer away.  4. easy.  I guess he's too young to remember George Burns in "Oh God", co-starring John Denver.  It's a pretty funny movie.  The 2 sequels Burns did weren't as funny.5. easy.6. OK, I've lived in Michigan my whole life and I've never heard of this.  I eliminated peanut sedan because peanuts are grown in the South.  I was sure it wasn't potato coupe because Idaho is where potatos are grown.  Michigan DOES grow corn (a lot is grown around here) and soybeans, so I was confused about which one to pick  I use JTQ number one here.7. easy. Fracking is controversial here and there will probably be a ballot proposal about it next year.
8. easy-once again a word in the question gives the answer away. They must be desperate for a big winner.
9.easy.
10.easy. Goya comes up on J! a lot.

$100K-This also comes up on J! a lot, so I knew the correct answer was The Apartment.
$250K-Ugh. I know who all these people are and why they are famous, but I've never heard this factoid. I JTQ here. Is this mentioned in the movie "42"?

It's curious, Kazoo, that James said he was originally from Michigan and he used the same reasoning you did, narrowing the choices down to the two crops he said grew in Michigan. But why would either of you think Ford would limit his choices to a local crop? The automobile industry is global in reach; they'll import their raw materials from anywhere they can find them.

Now as for the "right" answer to the question, it seems that's a bit in dispute.
What was it made of?
The frame, made of tubular steel, had 14 plastic panels attached to it. The car weighed 2000 lbs., 1000 lbs. lighter than a steel car. The exact ingredients of the plastic panels are unknown because no record of the formula exists today. One article claims that they were made from a chemical formula that, among many other ingredients, included soybeans, wheat, hemp, flax and ramie; while the man who was instrumental in creating the car, Lowell E. Overly, claims it was "…soybean fiber in a phenolic resin with formaldehyde used in the impregnation" (Davis, 51).

I'm pretty sure I saw "Lawrence" in color. Other than that, I can't be certain so I'll JTQ.

Parks' protest was in 1955, so "over a decade" earlier would push it to the 1940s. Jackie Robinson seems like the most likely answer of the four. I imagine this was covered in the movie "42".

I was familiar with the title, but not the content. It depends on what children's literature was read to you--or that you read to your kids--and how well you remember it.

It wasn't, directly, but you got the idea from the movie that the answer could have been Robinson and with the timeline, he seemed like the most likely answer to me as well. Although, I understand why he said Marshall, I doubt the first Black Supreme Court Justice had a record of any kind. Even if the arrest was political.
