Her dad, Stan, is in the audience

Cedric introduced her today as a newlywed who said the road to finding her Prince Charming was not an easy one.
She described herself as a bad flirt and a clumsy person who once lost her balance and pulled a bookcase down.
Then when flirting with a guy in a cafe, she accidentally sat on a brownie and showed her backside covered in chocolate.
Cedric said he likes chocolate.

Josina "Whaaat?" Wow.
Doesn't think Nostradamus had many parrots in his life, he wasn't a tropical prophet.
Cheating at card games? Maybe this is something an astrologer would want to be good at.
Digging graves was very important in the 16th century, people were dropping like flies on a regular basis
Cedric: Think he predicted you would win a million dollars? Nostradamus? Josina said "yes I do" (drawing a laugh)
Making jellies and jams? That's not a thing for him, everybody loves jellies and jams, you wouldn't put that in your book
Josina thinking that at the end of the Black Plague, Nostradamus would be doing something for the people as a man of the people, and he was interested in the dead, and you would not want the dead getting out of the holes in the ground, you would want to keep them down there.
Josina is saying C, digging graves. Cedric started final? Not now (drawing a laugh from the audience)
Cedric said Josina has worked it out and would risk $75K for the shot at the million
Josina said she walked in here with a Metrocard, so C, digging graves, final answer

Wow. Just wow. She played a good game and showed a lot of guts going for it. As for me, from the comfort of my recliner I guessed the right answer just because it was the most incongruous of the four.

Q 9: Suddenly they get hard, for me that is; I was leaning toward Downey because I hadn't read it in the bios of the others, which I've read more of, but I'd ATA here.

Q10: Its a guess, but of the obvious "right answer".

Q11: Hard, for me, again; I jump this one. No lifelines left.

Q12: Here's where I leave. I should have known the craft was called "Freedom 7", which would tell me who was on it, but did not.

Q13: Didn't know this for sure either. My brain was nagging me with what turned out to be the right answer, so I knew it on some level, but would not have gone with a guess.

Q14: No clue. And my "1st guess", C, was not the right answer.

But like I said in the other thread, it's an easy google. Do they take away the audience's phones? Can they google for the ATA? Surreptiously, of course.

Its good to see all those top-level Qs, but I wish she'd had the sense, at the last, to keep her money. But it was clearly her decision, she knew she had a 1-in-4 chance.

The audience can't have their phones out during the show but they don't take them away (as the pics on facebook show lots of people post during "commercial" breaks). The producers have a pretty close eye on the audience in general for TV-sake. I'm sure they would not tolerate phone usage.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more traffic about this. It's the first million dollar question in regular play in six years.

I knew the $100K and $250K questions immediately. I had no idea about the $500K.

The MDQ was quite a disappointment to me. Normally, it's a little known fact about something very familiar (The Brady Bunch, Kruschev's shoe, landlocked countries), but this was just an obscurity.

They refer to the last four questions as "Classic Millionaire," but it's really not. There was a lot more drama and risk when Ken Basin missed his MDQ. Ken's miss cost him $475K, compared to the $75K Josina lost on her miss.

Well, the format is classic, if not the question material.

I'm glad Josina had the guts to go for it. With an expected value of $268,750, even with a one in four random guess, versus $100,000 for walking away, this was a situation only made possible by the JTQ lifelines.
