Now working Beast-ly hours

I am now working as a security guard assigned to an office building, and my current hours are 11pm to 7am Monday thru Thursday nights. I actually kind of like being there then instead of during the day because it is quiet and there is nothing going on. I like the idea of going home to sleep while most people are going to work. And I have pretty much given up on finding a "normal" job (see my previous rant about age discrimination, a subject that still royally pisses me off).
During the fall and winter months my uniform includes a jacket and tie that I take off for part of my shift and put back on when it is time for the people who work in the building to start arriving. Ironically, if I had a hat and sunglasses I would actually look like Elwood Blues.

I used to work that sort of hours over 40 years ago. Now I'm working from 4 PM to 12:30 AM which is nice because I never have bad traffic (except today for the first time). They have a hard time getting people to work here on the grave shift. The people who do are all "different".

Welcome to the graveyard club. And it's perfectly OK to wear your sunglasses at night...

Found it! I think this is my first appearance in one of your avatars. I'll just say the future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

It is. I'm sorry you had to co-star with Buster, but that's all we could round up on the night shift....
