There's a Jan Hoag who was a plus sized model and is now an actress on a number of shows. Would this be the same one. The actress/model Jan Hoag won $38K on Super Password in 1987 before her acting career began

Jan was a "plus size", so it's possible that it was, but if so, there was no mention of it on the show.
