Flood watches are in effect for our area, with anticipated rainfall of 3-4" (and possibly more in some areas) for the next 24 hours. It's gonna be a mess.

And I am SO looking forward to flying out to my audit tomorrow. Wind-swept rain when I leave, and probably at my two landing places. Plane #2 is a Dehavilland Dash 8, which I hope can manage the trip in such weather without too much trouble. Otherwise, I'm driving a couple of hours each way from Philly.

The Dash 8 will get you there. Landing, however, might be a problem. :P

The first equation of aviation: # of takeoffs = # of safe landings.

A pilot's rule of thumb: Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!

The DHC Dash 8 and its older, shorter sibling the Dash 7, while looking like a flying bus with the wing strapped on top, have always been pretty reliable aircraft.

But if there is that much rain then rather than the old reliable DHC flying bus you might instead want to see if another DHC sibling, the Twin Otter with pontoons can be made available. That might improve the chances of keeping that formula balanced...

That's the pilot. What about the passengers??
