Fifth time is charmed for Diana Nyad

#1 Post by Vandal » Mon Sep 02, 2013 8:25 pm

She swims from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage or flippers on her fifth attempt.

All this at the ripe ol' age of 64!

This would be an excellent WWTBAM audition hook! Her age might be an issue, but she should definitely go for it.

Yesterday's show also had
Spoiler
A clue with two correct answers. THose "R" the Top 10 hits had players name the top 10 hits by the artists given in the given year that starts with R. Jesus Jones' in 1991 were known for Right Here Right Now(Alex gave that response as it was a Triple Stumper), but Real Real Real was their other top 10 hit, also in 1991 and also beginning with R.

Friday night on the TV series Grimm, the creatures (called Wesen on the show) of the week were naiads, who had to live near the water and could swim very fast but couldn't actually breathe underwater. Unlike a lot of the Wesen, most of the naiads were peaceful.

They could breathe under water after they assume their Wesen form -- her Wesen form included gill slits. She didn't want to do that because that would also cause her membranes to manifest, allowing the bad guys to Cut her. --Bob
