I'm guessing it's not about the card game. --Bob

I haven't seen it, but I read in TV Guide that when they transplanted it to America, they originally wanted it to be about a bridge between Michigan and Ontario, which would have been culturally more similar to the Denmark-Sweden border, but then they decided to set it on the more interesting Texas-Mexico border.

I have been watching and enjoying the show although I need a hit from Agent J & Agent K's neuralyzer to erase from memory the opening minutes from the 8/21 episode.

Bumping up this old topic because the original Scandinavian series will be available on Hulu starting January 14. Americans who watch it can find out how the heck Danes and Swedes are different.
Also, the British and French are working on their own version of the series. For obvious geographic reasons, it will be called "The Tunnel."
