I was in Hoboken for a year and a half then Westbury for almost three. I'd have stayed in Westbury for many more but we all had to evacuate.

There is something about this place that is really inviting to me. It surprised me. Then I realized it is the isolation of it that is attractive - like I wouldn't have to deal with people.
Then, I realized that not dealing with people keeps me small, so I was no longer attracted to this place.
I seem to constantly deal with not wanting to deal with people and knowing that not doing so keeps me small.
I got that from a photo of a mansion.
Life is pretty cool.

Although you can't see it from this view, Google Maps shows that Bob has neighbors not more than 100 yards away. Amazing, the detail that site can give for some neighborhoods!

I think it's more like two hundred across the street to the neighbor's. You got that photo from Google Earth, right, Bob? It does seem to distort the perspective a lot in the upper half of the picture and I can't figure out why the trees on those hill look bare, as if the photo were taken in winter, while those close to the house are summery green.
