These are the New York auditions. Presumably at some point they'll announce the traveling auditions. --Bob

That's what they say just below the NY audition paragraphs.

How come my DVR is recording reruns? I have it set to only record new.

Oh, and good luck to all that audition this year.

It's possible COmcast/Xfinity/DirectTV or whomever thinks the shows are still new. COmcast calls Press Your Luck and Sale of the Century reruns on GSN as "new". Granted, the block of Press Your LUck they're currently airing and Sale of the Century hadn't aired on GSN prior to 4/1(the current batch of episodes they are airing will start repeating in about two to three weeks).

Heck, or a while, Comcast called the 1:30 am re-run from the previous season 'new' necessitating twice the DVR space to record BAM as a series while on vacation.

The blurb on U-Verse still mentions the 3 original lifelines...

What I will assume is now the complete list has been posted.

July 8 – Dallas, TX
July 10 – Las Vegas, NV
July 12 – Denver, CO
July 12 – Mashantucket, CT (at Foxwoods Resort Casino)
July 22 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL
July 24 – Charlotte, NC
July 26 – Detroit, MI

Locations and times to be announced, surely.

Let's see...... Spend $700 to get to a test location...... Pass the test again...... Have no chance to pass the "dog and pony show" interview..... No thanks.

Looks like the best day would be July 12. Do an early audition in CT, then catch a flight to Denver and audition there, too. Whoever might have blackballed you in the past won't be in both places.

But isn't there a rule against taking the exam twice in one day? --Bob

Indeed.

Furthermore, if the APs have to pass on their recommendations to a senior producer for any definitive casting decisions, this trick might not work, after all.

It might earn an "E" for effort. :|

It wouldn't matter. With my luck, the AP's would be on the same plane. When they first started the road auditions, I was in the same group as Cal. They found out that I worked in a casino, and about every other question to the group was about my job. They also found out I was a bowler because I had either my 800 or my 299 ring on. One of the AP's was a bowler and even asked me to come up to the table for them to see it. I thought I was a lock for the show, but....... That should have told me something then.

I was told a few years later by someone that used to work for game shows, not BAM, why I wasn't picked. I'm just glad he told me so I wouldn't waste anymore money running around the country taking the tests. Don't get me wrong, it was fun going to different places and getting the chance to meet some of you. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Millionaire has created Facebook events for the road auditions, and is encouraging its FB followers going into the auditions to sign up by clicking Join and Share on the event page.

Here are the links:
Dallas audition
Las Vegas audition (This one's so new, you can be the first to sign up!)

It won't let you cut in line, but if you post a compelling story, or if lots of your FB friends Like your post, it will catch the eye of the staff and make you stand out even before you arrive. (Think of Chad's road trip to the Chicago audition in 2011.)

Bob##, if you belong to FB, you should certainly do this and get your FB, real-life, bridge and Bored friends to Like it.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm running myself ragged this week writing the Bulletin for our local bridge regional tournament, but once I come up for air, I'll try to figure this out. --Bob
