A friend of mine works for Southwest. They were told to expect a lot of reassignments and cancellations, that the operation would basically be functioning on a crappy weather type schedule. Their memos said to just pretend that Midway is in a blizzard. heh.
Forgot to add: as a result, friend said that a lot of FAs are calling out sick - either because they don't want to deal with it or because their own commuting flights into work are getting fubar-ed. He said there had been just a few unassigned trips before the announcement, but that there were tons of empty slots afterward.
