According to folks on the J! board, Phil Hornbostel was on the primetime show with Regis, back on Oct. 26, 2000.
He dropped to $1K after missing this question.
In the title of a 1987 book by Fannie Flagg, what is served at "The Whistle Stop Cafe"?
A. Sweet potato pie
B. Steak and eggs
C. Chicken and dumplings
D. Fried green tomatoes

He didn't do so well on J!, either, finishing third (he was third going into FJ! by a large margin, IIRC).
