Contract Manufacturing Organizations. This place and my last are such companies, so you see a large number of people from companies seeking your services (not unlike the organizations used by Gov. Spitzer, although manufacturing something in those places usually isn't a desirable outcome).
The result of having so many people come through is that you run into old friends and acquaintances. I just had someone pop into my office whom I haven't seen in over twenty years. I've re-met a large number of former co-workers in the two-plus years I've been here. We're all still in the same industry, and it occasionally becomes old home week. It's fun hearing about other folks from the past as well.
