And, Jason Alexander will be hired to trade him to the Mets.

Billy Crystal has a better chance of making the Yankees opening day roster than Jason Alexander has of ever being employed by anyone again....

According to what I heard on ESPN he will pitch, at least a little. Or at least throw from the mound.

Whether or not it could be considered pitching is something else altogether.

Pine rider.
I had to look up the phrase. :)
One who rides the pine. 2nd string baseball player who sits the bench.
"You suck you pine rider." "I'm not very good at baseball, so I'm just riding the pine."

Were you thinking of Jason Grimsley the only 2 Jason Alexanders I know of are the Seinfeld co starborn Jason Greenspan and Britany Speers' first husband

I think it was a reference to the story arc on Seinfeld in which George worked for The Boss (George Steinbrenner, not Bruce Springsteen).

Then the title should have read George Costanza not Jason Alexander so as not to confuse baseball fans. By the way I don't think Jason Grimsley last seen in a dbacks uniform peddling steroids and singing to federal prosecutors will be working in baseball again in this lifetime

I don't think it was all that confusing to anybody else.

Nitrah's reference was indeed a reference to Costanza. And the quoted reference (From my good friend the Bucket) was tied in to Jason Alexander's memorable KFC commercials he was doing at the same time he was equally memorable as ABC's noted self-help guru Bob Patterson (Bob himself must not have visited today to put in his 2 cents, assuming he even has 2 cents anymore).....
