Idol Chatter - The Top Twelve

Well, it was heckuva way to start the Finals competition. I expected to hear some awesome interpretations and some duds. and was not disappointed. One performance has us rolling with laughter (and if you saw the show, you'll know which one I mean).
Syesha - Not one of my favorite Beatle tunes but she did an OK job with it. By virtue of a couple of other performance I think she'll be around another week.
Chikezie - What can I say. One of my favorite earlier Beatle songs he did with an A+ performance. Simply outstanding.
Ramiele - I could have sworn the judges suggested she pick it up a bit, tempo-wise. She didn't. Maybe she doesn't know how. I nodded off during this one.
David H. - Not a great week for him and not a good song choice either. May be on the chopping block.
Carly - Another performance I really liked.
David C. - I knew he would do Eleanor Rigby as if I were going to rock it, this is the song I would have done. I was hoping for just a little more but I gave him a B+ tonight.
Jason - I think the same of his performances as that of Ramiele. I think he is stuck in the balladeer role. Not that that's a bad thing but, for me it gets old quickly.
Brooke - I liked her take on Let It Be. I gave it a solid B.
Amanda - I did not care for her this week. I think she is becoming too predictable and repetitive. Yeah, that's her thing but she better change it up once or twice or she's gone, if not this week.
Michael - One of my least favorite Beatle songs, he did nothing to change my mind on it.
Christy - You have got to be kidding me!! Sorry, but this did not work at all. AT ALL!! I was in tears from laughter watching this one. You can't turn this Beatle classic into a country jig no matter how hard you try. She's gone.
David A. - This did not work for me either. I was trying to think of a song I thought might work for him. I came up with a few but they were all slower numbers and the judges had suggested that he pick it up a bit as well. Even if he di blow the lines several times, he's nowhere in danger.
Leaving us tomorrow will be Christy and.....either Michael or David H. I think they will be saying goodbye to two but I'm not sure.
Wouldn't it be cool if they had a surprise guest tomorrow night - like McCartney!!??
